Good morning, and welcome to UDI’s MDS Monday Challenge #8. This week’s challenge is “a play on wods”. Wow, this one made me think hard to come up with something. I chose a play on “ruff” for some dog pictures. These pictures are a sampling of how easy my dogs have it! I go to work every day while they stay home to sleep and play.
For this page, I started by adding photo layout “Square 9” That gave me all the small photo boxes that I needed, already sized and spaced perfectly. I just deleted the ones that I didn’t need. From there, I added several square punches and filled them with a variety of paper. I created a cute tag, that matches my title, using the Enjoy Every Moment stamp brush set. And finally, I angled the small photos, the tag, and some of my paper layers to give the layout a more playful look. Please let me know if you have any questions about My Digital Studio.
Now, you’ve got to check out the other clever creations from the Design Team members at Utah Diva’s International.

MDS Monday #6 -- Spring
Good morning, and welcome to UDI’s MDS Monday Challenge #6 – SPRING! My spring pictures are from another trip to New Orleans. These pictures are from a 2010 walking tour of New Orleans’ Garden District. I used a variety of Subtles colors and a couple of the Regals colors. I also used my favorite stamp set, Vintage Vogue.
With traditional stamping, I think these flowers look best when they’re cut out and popped up. So in MDS, I simply added an intense shadow (blur=5, opacity=80), and my flowers still have the cut out and popped up look.
Now, check out the other Spring creations from the Design Team members at Utah Diva’s International.

Right Page Recipe: Stamps- Vintage Vogue, Torn Edges, Circle Circus; Paper- Sahara Sand, Basic Gray, Bravo Burgundy, Night and Day DSP, So Saffron; Ink- Handsome Hunter, Garden Green, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron, Basic Black, Whisper White; Accessories- Circle Punch, Square Punch, Basic Pearls, Modern Label Punch, Grosgrain Ribbon; Fonts- none

MDS Monday #4 -- Using Punches
Good morning, and welcome to UDI’s MDS Monday Challenge #4 -- using Punches. I use punches in MDS all the time, for all kinds of things. Here’s a list of the punches I used on these pages:
- Tag Punch to start forming my “growing” tag
- Scallop Oval Punch where the ribbon is added on the tag
- Square Punch to make my tag longer. If you try stretching the Tag Punch, it gets mis-shapen. So I added a square punch (turned into a rectangle shape) to get the length I needed.
- Another Square Punch, turned on an angle, gives my tag the fish tail end by “erasing” the straight bottom of my tag
- Circle Punches to give dimension to my Circle Circus stamps
- Square punches (turned into rectangles) were used for all my Solid and DSP paper pieces. I prefer to use punches instead of “page layers” for my DSP, no matter what size it is.
- Scallop Edge Border punch for an accent on the right page
Page recipe: Stamps- Circle Circus; Paper- Rose Red Large Polka Dot DSP, Kraft Textured CS, Baja Breeze Striped DSP, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, Perfect Plum, Rose Red, Early Espresso, Marnia Mist, Wild Wasabi; Ink- Whisper White, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Perfect Plum; Accessories- Tag Punch, Square Punch, Circle Punch, Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Whisper White Brads, Stitching, Grosgrain Ribbon Knot; Fonts- CK Diva, CK Journaling

cQc#65 -- Beautiful Neutrals
Today’s card comes from cQc#65. The ColourQ colors are Old Olive, Kraft (now Crumb Cake), Basic Gray, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White. Wow! I love all these neutrals together. And that inspiration piece definitely inspired me.
I chose Basic Gray for my card base, but it looked too plain for that inspiration piece. So I dressed it up with some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. I do love sparkle and shine :-) I used an old Fall To Layout from the Clean&Simple blog. And from there, my design just came together.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for stopping by!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Circle Circus, Just Believe; Paper- Basic Gray, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black; Ink- Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Basic Black; Accessories- 1-1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, Dimensionals
