Good morning! Create with Connie and Mary have a great Sketch Challenge this week. I liked it so much I made two cards with it. The first one is a “Girl” card with the cute little flower accents. I turned the sketch sideways (landscape) for the second card, and decorated it for a “Boy” card.

Today's card is a combination of the Create With Connie and Mary's CCMC134 sketch challenge and Color Dare's CD93 -- Regal Rose, Pacific Point, and Pink Pirouette. I was immediately inspired by the clean ans simple sketch (CAS). This fits so perfect with my style. So I picked one of my favorite stamp sets, Vintage Vogue. The colors worked great with this sketch, except I did need to stamp my sentiment with Early Espresso to make it stand out more.
This set has great accent pieces for decorating the inside, too, giving a completed look to your card. One of my goals for this year is to make sure I finish the insides of my cards.

Happy New Year! Let’s talk about resolutions. My number one resolution is to get healthier – eat better and exercise more. I let you know how that goes.
My next resolution is to get some scrapbooking done. I am so far behind, I feel like I’ll never get caught up. So I’m going to make a resolution to get 6 pages done each month. That’s less than 2 pages a week … surely I can do that.
I used pictures from last year’s record snowfall to create this page for the Create With Connie and Mary “Let It Snow” challenge – CCMC131. Whether it’s Digital or Traditional scrapbooking, I think the hardest part is figuring out which pictures to use and how to make them the focus of my page while still adding cool embellishments. This layout came to mind because I already had part of it planned for my Blog re-design. You’ll soon be seeing some of these same embellishments for my Blog Header and Buttons. I’m using My Digital Studio (MDS) for all this.
Oh, and stay tuned for the next set of dog pictures I scrap. They should be quite comical.

I took a short break from stamping, but now I've got several projects that I'm working on. Keep checking back to see all the different things I have planned for Stamp Club, Holiday Gifts, and Stamping Events. But first, I decided to get back in the swing of things by particpating in a few of the Challenges The challenges are great for giving you a starting point. I started with Create With Connie and Mary's CCMC130 Sketch Challenge. Then added ColourQ's CQC#64 colors of Real Red, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White.

Today, I'm showing you a card I made for the CCMC124 Color Challenge. We need to use Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla. My first thought was "elegant" when I looked at the fabric sample and the design team creations. But I just couldn't get anything to work out in my mind. Mainly because I kept thinking of "Over the hill" birthday cards! So I went ahead and made my borther's 40th birthday card :-) Now, you'll just have to wait to see it because I kept thinking about the "elegant" aspect last night, and I had some extra time this morning. So I made a Christmas card -- I can never have enough of those! I'm pleased with the subtle elegance of this card. And since I switched back to a Christmas card, this also qualifies for the JAI43 Just Add Christmas Challenge.

Good Morning! I hope everybody enjoyed the extra hour this past weekend. I sure did. I know I'm in a minority, but I love Winter. Keep in mind that I live in Texas, so we don't get a lot of snow, if any. (I didn't love Winter as much when I lived in Kansas City, MO!) I love the cool evenings and even getting dark earlier. That makes me feel like I should be inside doing stuff. Hopefully, I'll be able to get more Stamping and Scrapbooking done this Winter.
Today I'll show you a card I created last night for the CCMC123 challenge. I love this sketch, I can see myself using it for so many cards. And this is my friend Janet's favorite color combination right now. My favorite color is Red, so I find myself using this combination a lot lately, too.
