Today's card is a combination of the Create With Connie and Mary's CCMC134 sketch challenge and Color Dare's CD93 -- Regal Rose, Pacific Point, and Pink Pirouette. I was immediately inspired by the clean ans simple sketch (CAS). This fits so perfect with my style. So I picked one of my favorite stamp sets, Vintage Vogue. The colors worked great with this sketch, except I did need to stamp my sentiment with Early Espresso to make it stand out more.

This set has great accent pieces for decorating the inside, too, giving a completed look to your card. One of my goals for this year is to make sure I finish the insides of my cards.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by!

CD90 & SUO9 - Rose Thank You card

Today’s card is a special Thank You card I made for one of my friends. I hope she likes it. I chose my colors from Color Dare’s CD90 – Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, and Very Vanilla.

I embossed the card base with the Manhattan Flower embossing folder. Then I used my two-way glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds to the embossed impression and stamped the coordinating rose image from the Fifth Avenue Floral set as my focal image.  The use of Dazzling Diamonds qualifies this card for the SUO Challenge 9 --  "Bring On The Bling".

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for stopping by!

JAI48 and CD89 - Thank You card

Now that Christmas is over, don't we all need lots of Thank You cards? I'll be showing you my Thank You cards over the next few days. I hope this will give you some ideas and tips for getting your Thank You cards finished and in the mail. My mom asked me to make her a couple cards for her generous neighbors. So I started with Just Add Ink's Sketch Challenge #48. This sketch is perfect for quick cards, just add some ribbon or other accent to dress up your card. And my colors come from Color Dare's CD89 -- Soft Suede Cherry Cobbler, and Old Olive.

Oh, and this card also has a Sneak Peak from the Occasions Mini catalog that starts Jan 4th. See that emboseed Cherry Cobbler strip at the top? I created that with the new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Here's a tip: If you want the look of a large Scallop Border, but don't have a punch or the Tasteful Trims die, just use your circle punches. I punched 5 circles with my 1-1/4" circle punch, then used temporary adhesive to get them spaced correctly on my Old Olive piece. For different look, try using your Scallop Oval punch.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for stopping by!
