Today’s card is the kind we don’t like to make, but might be the most important. I needed a sympathy card for one of my best friends. I chose to make one featuring her favorite flower and favorite colors, hoping it will express all the things that I don’t have the words to say. (Wow, I expect a lot from a card, don’t I?!)
I chose the Fifth Avenue Floral set because of the beautiful Lily, Janet’s favorite flower. Then I decided to copy the sample card in the Idea Book & Catalog, pg 122. I changed the colors to a mix of greens, light pinks, and soft neutrals. I even pulled some retired Handsome Hunter from my stash since it’s Janet’s favorite color. All the flowers and words are stamped with Chocolate Chip ink.
The Rose is stamped on Pretty In Pink paper, and I needed to add some shading. I tried the Pretty In Pink marker, but it was too dark. Next I tried using a Blender Pen, but when it dried, it was too light. So I sponged some Pretty In Pink ink on top of the Blender Pen.
The Lily is stamped on Pink Pirouette paper. I colored the stamens with a Bravo Burgundy marker. Then I sponged Bravo Burgundy ink in the Lily’s center. I love how the Lilies turned out. The other flower is stamped on Very Vanilla, and I sponged a little Pretty In Pink ink on the flower.
I used the same layout for the card’s inside with a single Lily and strip of ribbon for embellishment.
You’ll notice I also used the Manhattan Flower embossing folder. Although, you don’t see very much of the design on the card’s front, I really like the impact on the inside.

Good morning! Here’s another card we made at Stamp Club last weekend. I saw the original idea for this Cupcake Stand on LeeAnn Greff’s website. She has some amazing punch art samples.
I changed up the base of the stand using a tiny negative piece from the Heart Punch. We had lots of laugh punching all the pieces for so many cupcakes. It’s so much fun to stamp with other people! If you live in the Fort Worth area and would like to join us, CONTACT ME.

Good morning! Last Friday, I showed you the “Eat Chocolate” card we did for Stamp Club. Throughout the week, I’ll be showing you the rest of the cards we made last weekend. Today’s card uses the Bliss stamp set that you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration.
I immediately thought of the card I need for my Aunt and Uncle’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. This stamp set and a neutral color scheme makes a great elegant card. I added a little Cherry Cobbler flower and a Pearl for a pop of color and that finishing touch. Oh, and I stamped the main image in Early Espresso ink. Then the other, lighter, images were stamped with Crumb Cake after I stamped off.

Happy Friday! I have my Stamp Club sessions this weekend. And this is one of the cards they’ll be making. I got the idea for this card from a December Mojo Monday Sketch. This Eat Chocolate set is so much fun. I’ll definitely be using it for some of my Easter goodies.
It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the chocolate pieces are embossed. I inked my stamp with Versamark then with Early Espresso and heat set with Clear Embossing powder. It’s looks nice and shiny, like real chocolate.

I took a short break from stamping, but now I've got several projects that I'm working on. But first, I decided to get back in the swing of things by particpating in a few of the Challenges The challenges are great for giving you a starting point. I started with Create With Connie and Mary's CCMC130 Sketch Challenge. Then added ColourQ's CQC#64 colors of Real Red, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White.
