Good morning! Here is another card that I used as a swap card for the Stampin’ Up! Convention last month. I saw a card somewhere that used ribbon this way. I thought it was so simple, yet so elegant in it’s simplicity. Isn’t that the best kind of card? One that’s extremely quick and easy to make, yet has a “wow” impact.
I used the Charming stamp set. And it’s hard to tell in the picture, but I stamped the Words stamp lightly in Pretty in Pink. Then stamped the Flower stamp in Chocolate Chip. I didn’t even use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp my Kind Thanks. I used one Glue Dot in the center of the ribbon to attach it, then another Glue Dot to attach the Chocolate Chip piece to the ribbon. If I ever need to mass produce Thank You cards, I’ll be using this layout again.

Today’s card is another April Stamp Club card that focused on wheels. I used Black StazOn ink to stamp Take a Sip in permanent ink. Then, we used Blender Pens to color the individual cups. (The StazOn ink won’t smear when it gets wet from the Blender Pens.)
I’m not very good at coloring. Honestly, it wasn’t one of my favorite things even as a child. But the Blender Pens are so forgiving, they make it easy for me! We used Crumb Cake, Pretty In Pink, and Rose Red ink pads with the Blender Pens.
And the inside is just made for a Starbucks Gift Card. We used the Word Window Punch for the opening. You just insert the paper, as far as it will go into the punch, and punch it once from each side edge. Since the paper is all the way in the punch, the punches line up perfect every time.

Good morning! I made this card for a Stamp-a-Stack class a while back. It uses the Charming stamp set for the focal point. I stamped the words from Charming on the left hand side, very lightly, just for a bit of background. Then the flower image is stamped with Perfect Plum on the right side.
I also stamped the Button, Button image once in Perfect Plum and again in Pretty In Pink. I then layered the very center of the Pretty In Pink image on top of the Perfect Plum image. It doesn’t really look like a button, but I do like how the image coordinates with the Charming flower for a cute finishing touch.

Today’s “Thank You” card is a little different. I made it with MDS (My Digital Studio). One of my customers purchased some Digital Downloads, and I wanted to send her a Thank You. This particular customer keeps everything we do as a “sample” for her to copy later. So I thought the perfect sample for her would be a Digital one she can use in MDS. She also loves purple and the XL Two-Step Bird Punch. Speaking of the bird punch, this card qualifies for Stampin’ Royalty’s SR#55 – “anything with wings” theme challenge -- and the Friday Mashup #28 challenge -- using Birds.
I found this layout on the My Digital Studio website. This website is such a helpful resource. They have samples, a forum with challenges, tips & tricks, and a blog to keep you updated with the latest MDS downloads. If you haven’t been to the MDS website, you really need to check it out.
Back to the sample: This is an easy layout to replicate and configure for many uses. Digitally, I added circle punches and resized them. For a traditional card, use multiple sizes of Circle Punches. And to create a scrapbook page, just use some pictures instead of all the patterned paper. I used only items that are included with the original software. So, if you purchase MDS, you too, can easily create this card or scrapbook page.

I made this card to swap at the SU! Regional Convention last September. You can’t tell it in this picture, but the centers of the flowers were colored with Versa Marker and embossed with Iridescent Ice.

Now that Christmas is over, don't we all need lots of Thank You cards? I'll be showing you my Thank You cards over the next few days. I hope this will give you some ideas and tips for getting your Thank You cards finished and in the mail. My mom asked me to make her a couple cards for her generous neighbors. So I started with Just Add Ink's Sketch Challenge #48. This sketch is perfect for quick cards, just add some ribbon or other accent to dress up your card. And my colors come from Color Dare's CD89 -- Soft Suede Cherry Cobbler, and Old Olive.
Oh, and this card also has a Sneak Peak from the Occasions Mini catalog that starts Jan 4th. See that emboseed Cherry Cobbler strip at the top? I created that with the new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Here's a tip: If you want the look of a large Scallop Border, but don't have a punch or the Tasteful Trims die, just use your circle punches. I punched 5 circles with my 1-1/4" circle punch, then used temporary adhesive to get them spaced correctly on my Old Olive piece. For different look, try using your Scallop Oval punch.
